Who is America's Got Talent star Putri Ariani? 17-year-old blind singer is huge in Indonesia
She may have recently found new fame on America's Got Talent, but 17-year-old Putri Ariani already has a successful musical career in her native Indonesia.
Putri, who was born in Yogyakarta, has been blind since she was three months old.
Despite the challenges she's faced, she learned to play the piano, guitar, and flute, and began composing her own songs.
At only eight years old, she won Indonesia's Got Talent in 2014 - and has gone from strength to strength ever since.
Putri's mother experienced a series of health complications during pregnancy and the youngster was born prematurely at just six months.
But the talented performer didn't let her blindness stop her from achieving her dreams and has been singing since the age of three.
In 2014, she won Indonesia's Got Talent and committed herself fully to her musical career.
She continued on a series of other singing shows and slowly became a well-known face in her native motherland.
Putri became a finalist on 2016's The Voice Kids Indonesia aged 10 - and two years later performed the Song Of Victory at the Asian Para Games.
Following her TV show success, she has released almost 30 songs on her iTunes during her teen years, ranging from singles to live performances.
Her most successful song, Tak Mampu Lupa, which translates to Can't Forget, was released in 2022, and has received more than 11 million plays on Spotify to date.
She continues to delight her fans by posting her original music, song covers, charitable projects, and travels to her almost two million TikTok followers.

But Putri, who has also sung at weddings and appeared on TV shows, excels at more than just music - because, when she's not singing, she focuses her efforts on her philanthropic passions.
The rising star often introduces her 450,000 Instagram followers to good causes - including encouraging fans to donate to clean water efforts and buy holiday gifts for orphans.
'I will never give up because I know that I'm invincible, not invisible. I'm capable. I'm powerful. I'm brave. I'm spectacular. I believe that everyone has their own potential,' she said during a recent TED talk.
Before starting her performance on AGT, she said: 'My biggest challenge is people look at me just as a blind person, not as a musician.
'But when I'm singing, I feel like I'm a superstar.
Moment Putri Ariani receives the GOLDEN BUZZER from Simon Cowell
'My dream is being the biggest diva in the world like [American singer] Whitney Houston, and to win a Grammy award. I hope that I can get into Juilliard for my college program.'
After her astonishing performance, all the judges enthusiastically stood up and applauded.
Simon Cowell, 63, told her: 'You're only 17. You write songs, you've got an amazing distinctive voice.
'You have a kind of a glow about you. You are, I think, one of the best singers we've ever had on our show.'
After his moving remarks, he pressed the golden buzzer and Putri was automatically propelled to the live semi-finals.
