The moment I heard of the ICC arrest warrant against President #Putin, the first thing that came to my mind was that infamous “Worth it” moment of the late Madeleine Albright, when asked about the Iraq war & sanctions children casualties back in the 90’s.
On “60 Minutes” on May 12, 1996, and in a reply to Lesley Stahl’s question if “The Price was WORTH IT”, after she “heard that HALF A MILLION children have died” due to US sanctions on Iraq, what was “More children than those who died in Hiroshima”
That day, Albright swiftly & coldly answered with “I think this is a very hard choice, but the price… we think THE PRICE IS WORTH IT”
The best Eulogy & Tribute Albright received, is the one I’m sharing here from the one & only @georgegalloway, who simply called her “THE MASS KILLER” as she & many other past & present members of her administration deserve to be called, and went on to highlight how she damned herself “By her own lips” with the war crimes she & her country committed.
Half a million Children, among other millions of casualties of war crimes & sanctions committed by the US, are considered UNWORTHY of even the attention of the respectable #ICC, even when the perpetrators themselves plead guilty!
