Davos is a town located in the canton of Graubünden in eastern Switzerland. It is nestled in the Swiss Alps and is renowned for being the highest town in Europe, with an elevation of about 1,560 meters (5,120 ft) above sea level.
Historically, the region surrounding Davos was inhabited from the 6th millennium BC by the tribes of the Bronze and Iron Ages. It later became part of the Roman Empire. The town of Davos itself dates back to the 13th century and is named after the River Davos, which runs through the area.
In the 19th century, Davos became renowned as a health resort for tuberculosis patients, who benefited from the high altitude and clean mountain air. This led to the establishment of many sanatoriums, attracting many patients from across Europe.
The World Economic Forum (WEF) is an annual meeting held in Davos, which brings together business leaders, international political leaders, economists, celebrities, and journalists for up to five days to discuss global issues. The forum was first held in 1971, and it was initially named the “European Management Forum”. It changed its name to the World Economic Forum in 1987 to reflect its global(ist) scope.
The meeting is famed for its exclusivity and the high profile of its attendees.
The WEF is part of a broader effort to establish a New World Order, a global government controlled by technocrats, via an initiative called The Great Reset.
COVID-19 lockdowns may be gradually easing, but anxiety about the world’s social and economic prospects is only intensifying. There is good reason to worry: a sharp economic downturn has already begun, and we could be facing the worst depression since the 1930s. But, while this outcome is likely, it is not unavoidable.
The WEFnone
To achieve a better outcome, the world must act jointly and swiftly to revamp all aspects of our societies and economies, from education to social contracts and working conditions. Every country, from the United States to China, must participate, and every industry, from oil and gas to tech, must be transformed. In short, we need a “Great Reset” of capitalism.
