Trump Gave Israel the âGreen Lightâ to Resume War in Gaza
Israeli officials have claimed and the White House has confirmed that President Trump gave Benjamin Netanyahuâs Israeli government the âgreen lightâ to break its ceasefire with Hamas and officially renew Israeli military operations in Gaza, with Israel launching airstrikes that have already led to the deaths of hundreds of additional Palestinians, including women and children. The official, US-backed end of the ceasefire comes after it was reported that Israel had unofficially broken the agreement hundreds of times since it went into effect this January.
A report published in The Times of Israel, which cited a related report published in The Wall Street Journal, claimed that âUS President Donald Trump gave Israel a âgreen lightâ to renew military operations against Hamas in Gaza.â
BLOOD LETTING: Israel CANCELS Ceasefire, Attacks Gaza
White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt confirmed the Israeli claims during an interview appearance she made on the Fox News Channel, saying that âthe Trump administration and the White House were consulted by the Israelis on their attacks in Gaza.â
She went on to threaten military action against Iran and other targets in the Middle East, adding that âPresident Trump has made it clear; Hamas, the Houthis, Iran, all those who seek to terrorize not just Israel but also the United States of America will see a price to pay. All hell will break loose. And all of the terrorists in the Middle East, again, the Houthis, Hezbollah, Hamas, Iranian-backed terror proxies, and Iran themselves should take President Trump very seriously when he says he is not afraid to stand for law-abiding people, he is not afraid to stand up for the United States of America and our friend and ally Israel.â
The latest saber-rattling toward Iran is part of a much larger conversation thatâs been raging in Washington for decades now and that centers around US-run regime change. This conversation has heated up considerably over the past year and a half, with Iran being accused of a litany of geopolitical crimes, including anti-Trump assassination attempts, in what many observers believe to be a psychological operation to goad the American People into backing an Israeli-demanded war with Iran.
In December 2024, The Stew Peters Network reported on claims that, like the âgreen lightâ story, were published in The Wall Street Journal and The Times of Israel and revealed that the Trump transition team was developing plans for a preemptive military strike on Iran.
As The Stew Peters Network reported at the time:
The Wall Street Journal is reporting that President-elect Donald Trump is âweighing optionsâ when it comes to launching a preemptive strike on Iran after he assumes office next month. The Wall Street Journal report comes on the heels of several from the Israeli media, who say that Israelâs government and military are also planning to strike Iran.
Just days after Bashar Al-Assadâs Syrian government fell to US/Israeli-backed ârebelsâ linked to ISIS and Al Qaeda, multiple reports have claimed that Israel and the United States alike are reviewing plans for strikes against Iran.
According to The Wall Street Journal, incoming President Trump is concerned that Iran could develop a nuclear weapon and use it against Israel (a claim thatâs been used to stoke war hawkishness for decades), and now, heâs âweighing options for stoppingâ them from doing so.
Those options, The Journal went on, âinclude the possibility of preventive airstrikes.â

While the United States has not yet officially moved to strike Iran, at various points in Israelâs ongoing war, under both Biden and Trump, US forces have intervened to combat Iranian âproxiesâ and even the Iranians themselves.
During Iranâs strikes on Israel last year, with Joe Biden still in the White House, American forces took to the skies to shoot down Iranian missiles and drones that Israelâs iron dome couldnât handle.
Under Trump and Biden alike, beginning just days after Israelâs war commenced in October 2023, American ships have taken down drones and other projectiles fired off by the Houthis, the Iranian-backed militia group based in Yemen thatâs developed a reputation for launching futile attacks on shipping channels.
No Americans have been killed, no U.S. Navy ships have been struck, and the Red Sea shipping lane that the Houthis are âattackingâ is used for trade primarily by Europeans, Saudis, and the Chinese.
Nevertheless, President Trump has ordered the US military to begin an anti-Houthi airstrike campaign and says that Iran will be held responsible for future Houthi actions.
