(Update1720ET): Hamas has released a hostage 'proof of life' video which is now being widely shared online and reported on, per Israeli media:
The short video shows a young woman, 21-year-old Mia Schem, being treated after she was wounded in her arm, and later speaking to the camera. Schem was kidnapped by Hamas terrorists on October 7 while taking part in the desert rave in Kibbutz Re’im, where the gunmen also massacred over 260 festival-goers.
US sending 2,000 Marines to Israeli coast – media
Separate plans are also in place for a potential “support” mission in Israel
The Pentagon has sent 2,000 marines and sailors to waters off Israel’s coast as part of a “show of force” in the region, CNN reported, citing unnamed US officials. The move comes amid fighting between Israel and Palestinian militants, which has claimed thousands of lives this month. Led by the elite 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit, the “rapid response force” is headed toward Israel on board the USS Bataan, an amphibious assault ship previously stationed in the Gulf of Oman, officials told the outlet on Monday.
IDF: US help is deterring all-out war with Hezbollah, not our invasion of Gaza
The chief IDF spokesman also said that the US naval vessels with the UE Aegis system gave Israel an additional layer of defense against attack.
Increased US presence in the region, including the impending visit of US President Joe Biden, is deterring Hezbollah from larger war, but is not delaying an IDF invasion of Gaza, IDF Spokesperson Brig. Gen. Daniel Hagari claimed on Tuesday.
Regarding Hezbollah, Hagari said that dozens of US aircraft now in the regioncan each carry out around 160 attacks, exponentially increasing the threat to Hezbollah and Iran should choose to join the Israel-Gaza war in a more aggressive manner.

Iran's foreign minister stated that "an opportunity has been obtained for us to stop the Zionists inside their own home."
Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian warned on Monday evening that the country's proxies around the Middle East could launch preemptive strikes on Israel "in the coming hours." In the coming hours, any preemptive action against the Zionist regime is conceivable," said Amirabdollahian while referencing his recent meeting with Hezbollah Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah in an interview with Iranian television.
Israel BOMBS airports in Damascus, Aleppo prior to arrival of Iran’s foreign minister
To prevent Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian from achieving his planned visit to Syria in the aftermath of the recent Hamas attack, the Israeli military reportedly bombed Syrian airports in both Damascus and Aleppo, destroying their runways and forcing their closure.
Amirabdollahian's plane was rerouted due to the bombing and has since landed in Baghdad. It is unclear whether or not he is still planning to try to enter Syria for his scheduled visit or if plans will change and be rescheduled.

In the states of North Rhine-Westphalia and Baden-Wurttemberg alone, flags were vandalized in at least 12 cities, according to the news program Tagesschau.

Zelensky was allegedly told “the time is not right” for making such a trip, the outlet explained. The Ukrainian president allegedly wanted to travel to the country alongside US Secretary of State Antony Blinken.
