Hmmm… tak terpikir pulak begitu awal sekali ilustrasi ni telah dikeluarkan.
Mereka sedang menuju ke sini atau sudah sampai?
Inikah yang mereka buat di sini?
Siapa mereka?
Apa yang mereka mahukan?
Siapa Tuan mereka?
Apa akan jadi kepada kita?

{The Extinction Parade is a story by Max Brooks, author of The Zombie Survival Guide and World War Z, about vampires in a Zombie Apocalypse battling to save their food source from being devoured by the less glamorous kind of undead.
It features many of the same themes that World War Z used, namely the world’s (especially the Western world’s) dependence on fragile supply chains that are vulnerable to resource shortages, Global Warming, and other disruptions.
Only this time in an Urban Fantasy setting with “the First World” and “oil” swapped out for “vampires” and “human blood“.}

When I write a novel, I don’t have to include any information that I don’t think is relevant. If two characters are having a conversation in the room, I don’t have to describe the room if it doesn’t impact the story.
A comic book, however is a visual story so I have to make sure I do my homework regarding the background.
Given that this story takes place in Malaysia, I have to provide Raulo (the artist) with all the information he needs to paint an accurate picture of life in Malaysia.

Dalam komik 2013 ni… penulis serta pelukis macam cuba bagi “hint” bahawa ameno adalah vampires. Kerjanya ialah ternak marhaen untuk dihisap darahnya.
Ph pulak digambo kan macam zombies, dah control hampir semua populasi. Suatu kuasa besar aneh (mungkit jesuit) dok ternak marhaen ni supaya dapat ditukar jadik zombies.
Akhirnya, vampires terpaksa merayu dan bekerjasama pulak ngan makanan mereka yakni marhaen sebab makin lama marhaen ni makin kurang sebab dah jadik zombies.
