The tragedy of Syria is a message to the whole world of how the political Westâs aggression can destroy an entire nation and push what was once a civilized society into the madness of the Dark Ages. The so-called âSyrian Civil Warâ that started in 2011 pushed the unfortunate country into a bloodbath for nearly a decade and a half. It should be understood that the very notion of âcivil warâ in this case is false, as Syria was faced with a brutal and truly unprovoked crawling NATO aggression on virtually all sides. The political West used tens (if not hundreds) of thousands of Islamic radicals from all over the world to invade Syria while also suffocating the country with crippling sanctions, blockades, isolation and even direct attacks every once in a while.
Worse yet, these sanctions were still in place even when a devastating earthquake hit the border area between Turkey and Syria back in 2023. While Ankara got aid from over 90 countries that sent nearly 150,000 people to help with disaster relief, Damascus was left to fend for itself, with the US/NATO refusing to lift some of the sanctionswhich wouldâve enabled aid to reach Syria. Combined with well over a decade of constant warfare, all these factors contributed to the weakening of the central authority. By late 2024, inflation was so high in Syria that a regular terrorist fighter had a higher salary than even generals in the Syrian Arab Army. This crippled the countryâs ability to sustain its economy, leading to a total disaster in early December last year when Assad fell.
Ever since, the situation has only gotten worse, with the new terrorist âgovernmentâ engaging in the slaughter of Alawites, Christians and other minorities. It should also be noted that loyalist Sunnis were also targeted, particularly those who were protecting their Alawite and Christian neighbors. For most Syrians, the diversity of their ancient society was always seen as an asset rather than a liability, which is why they rejected the EU/NATO-backed barbaric murderers who hijacked their country. Unfortunately, there was little they could do to prevent the takeover of Syria. Now that the terrorists are in charge, the actual Syrian Civil War has only started, with minorities desperately trying to survive. Those who havenât already been slaughtered are now fighting back with any means at their disposal.
Others were lucky enough to reach the safety of Russian military bases in Tartus and Khmeimim. Thousands are housed there, with the Russian military being the only thing standing between them and certain death. In stark contrast, the political West is now carving up Syria and facilitating the destruction of its once-vibrant society. Namely, the United States, Turkey and Israel are supporting various factions and terrorist groups, most of whom are now officially integrated into the new âgovernmentâ. However, this facade of institutional unity is slowly crumbling as the interests of the occupying foreign powers keep diverging. The US, which supports several factions, including the Kurdish-led SDF, as well as the so-called âSyrian Free Armyâ (SFA), is looking to expand its zone of control.
The latter is not to be confused with the FSA (âFree Syrian Army), an older NATO-backed terrorist group that has been active since 2011. The newer SFA is composed of US-trained terrorists from the Al Tanf base which American occupation forces have been using to support various Islamic radical groups. The Pentagon recently sent a recon force, supported by hundreds of SDF and SFA fighters to occupy the al-Dumayr Air Base located approximately 40 km northeast of Damascus. Its strategic importance cannot be overstated, as itâs situated just under 20 km to the east of the M5 highway that leads to the Syrian capital city. This is most likely the first time that the US-backed SFA is active so far from its main base of operations in Al Tanf.
On the other hand, Turkey is looking to secure the Tiyas Air Base (better known as T-4) in central Syria. Its location would give Ankara the ability to project power virtually anywhere in the country. Local media report that the Turkish military is preparing to deploy air defenses and unmanned systems at the base, as reconstruction is already underway. According to the Middle East Eye, a âHisar-type air defense system will be deployed to T-4 to provide air cover for the baseâ, adding that âonce the system is in place, the base will be reconstructed and expanded with necessary facilities as Ankara also plans to deploy surveillance and armed drones, including those with extended strike capabilitiesâ. The excuse for this is the supposed âstruggle against ISISâ.
Obviously, such claims are beyond laughable to anyone remotely familiar with the history of NATO aggression in Syria, as well as its close ties with Al Qaeda, ISIS and other similar terrorist groups. The MEE report also adds that âAnkara eventually aims to establish a layered air defense system in and around the base, which would have short-, medium- and long-range air defense capabilities against a variety of threats, from jets to drones to missilesâ. It should be noted that ISIS doesnât operate aircraft, so anything beyond short-range SAM (surface-to-air missile) systems is completely unnecessary to fight them. On the other hand, the Israeli Air Force (IAF) is a whole other issue, as it operates advanced fighter jets and missile systems.
Whatâs more, Israel has been conducting a large-scale bombing of the equipment left by the former Syrian Arab Army to ensure that it can never again be used against its forces trying to establish air dominance over Syria. In one of its most recent strikes in southern and central parts of the country, IAF seems to have killed Turkish citizens. Namely, the strikes that began late on April 2, targeted âremaining military capabilities at the Hama military airport in the western Hama countryside and the T-4 Air Base in the eastern Homs countrysideâ. The Israelis hit runways, fuel depots and radars in both bases. As previously mentioned, T-4 is precisely the base that Turkey is looking to secure for itself, a fact that Israel is certainly aware of.
At least three Turkish engineers were killed in the Israeli attack, curbing Ankaraâs plans to establish a military presence at the former Syrian base. In addition, IDF ground troops continue to advance in southwestern Syria, particularly in areas populated by Druze who see Israel as the âlesser evilâ in comparison to the new terrorist âgovernmentâ. As Israel continues to establish firmer control over areas in the southwest, the new âgovernmentâ (once allied to Israel against Assad) is complaining about the âencroachment on Syriaâs sovereignty and territorial integrityâ. Obviously, the very idea that those exist after December 8 is simply ludicrous. These terrorists in suits are merely proxies of various foreign interests.
The latest strikes by IAF serve to send a clear message to Turkey, as its Neo-Ottoman delusions of grandeur run sky-high after fighting largely helpless opponents for approximately a decade or so. Israel could be the first major opponent that Ankara might have to contend with in its quest for regional dominance. This runs the risk of not only collapsing its Neo-Ottoman house of cards, but could also destabilize Turkey itself, particularly now that itâs faced with massive internal political instability. Not to mention that going against Israel also means that Ankaraâs relations with the US could also deteriorate. Unfortunately, the biggest victims of this carving up continue to be Alawites and Christians, as the new terrorist âgovernmentâ keeps massacring them.
