International Court of Justice (ICJ) Hearings

The International Court of Justice (ICJ) is in session for five days following a request by the UN General Assembly to make recommendations to the UN for action on Israel’s breaches of international law and attacks on UN facilities.
For once some of the world is standing together and speaking out.
Here is Irish Lawyer, Blinne Ní Ghrálaigh. She highlighted how the government headed by Benjamin Netanyahu was hell bent on making every single international institution irrelevant with the help of the US.
The International Court of Justice is the de jure World Court but in this case can only recommend action. It is up to the UN and UNSC to implement action.
The International Criminal Court (ICC) under the Rome Statute and situated in The Hague, Netherlands, is now of no account. The most high profile case in this court, drawn together as an ad hoc tribunal, was that of the indictment against Slobodan Milošević, President of the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia, after NATO bombed Yugoslavia to shreds. This court has proven to be political and open to political pressure. The Hungarian Parliament voted to withdraw from the International Criminal Court (ICC), Foreign Minister Szijjártó announced. Prime Minister Orbán stated that the Hague court has transformed from a judicial body into a political organization in recent years.
Mr. Medvedev wrote a formal paper on this institution and in recent days called again for its end. This for example, is a worthless action with no ability to excecute anything and all respect for this court is lost.
